Portrait of Oliver White

Oliver White

Oliver's love of painting began in his early teens. He went on to study Fine Art at Falmouth before training in Florence at the Angel Academy of Art, learning the rigorous drawing and painting techniques of the Renaissance.

His work is deeply informed by his experiences as an oyster farmer and mussel fisherman in Cornwall, as well as his time working in wildlife conservation. These chapters of his life in the landscape fostered a sense of communion with the natural world-something he seeks to express through his paintings.

Whether in plein-air studies or larger studio works, water lies at the heart of much of Oliver's art. He relishes the challenge of capturing shifting light on its surface and the quiet mystery of what lies beneath.
